The Rich Text Suite provides two widgets to enable styled text in your application.
The rich text editor can be used to create such texts. It supports fonts, colors, images, tables, links, microflow invocations, CSS classes, in short, everything you might expect from such editor.
The rich text viewer can be used to display rich (HTML based) text. Furthermore it is suited to render not Rich text text as well, since it does not require to predefine the number of lines, in contrast to the Mendix built-in text area.

4/5starsI am quite interested in your experience with, and feedback on this widget. I can imagine it is useful in many projects.

5/5starsTruly a long awaited extension of the Mendix platform. I particulary like the option to add links to your text which trigger microflows when clicked.
4/5starsI have used this in every project so far, both as a tool to display long or variable length string attributes on multiple lines, as well as to give the user more power over layout. I guess it could use a button to show/edit the underlying HTML, as, like most rich text editors, there are some limits to what you can do (for example, working with tables in the suite is a bit awkward), but for must users this will never be an issue and there are workarounds. Great widget.

5/5starsEasy to show everything you want!
4/5starsI get myself downloading this widget more than I care to count. Its definitely worth downloading. Enough to motivate me to write a review :)
4/5starsHandy app for rich text.
Two strongly suggested improvements:
1. Standard XSSSanitizing (Community Commons) of the output to prevent XSS scripting injection;
2. Please change the CSS selectors for the editor! For instance, prefix them with '.richtextinput'. By default, they override other CSS selectors (like 'a', '.btn' and 'input') or in the application stylesheets.
In Chrome and Firefox, this isn't really an issue, but in older versions of Internet Explorer, it is and it messes up your layout when the Rich Text Editor is loaded.
1/5starsNot ready for Mendix 6
1/5starsAre there any plans to make this compatible with Mendix 6?
